The frigid Chicago winter was no match for Andrea Gentry’s warm spirit and fiery determination. This Texas native, a 13-year veteran of the Truluck’s Restaurant Group, brought her bona fides of skilled customer service, executing daily operations, team building, and training to Truluck’s Chicago location in the Gold Coast. While gaining a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from St. Edward’s University, Andrea found working in the restaurant industry more than just a job, but a way to connect with people and create unique memories. Her experiences studying in France and England, and years of teaching English in Southeast Asia deepen her love for training and mentoring. Truluck’s gave her the opportunity to blend those passions together first as a company trainer, Associate Manager, General Manager, and then Managing Partner and Director of Training, working in multiple markets and participating in multiple location openings. Opening Truluck’s Chicago began as a training and development opportunity, but the daunting challenge and charming people inspired her into making Chicago home.
