The grand finale every great dinner deserves

A Truluck’s dining experience is more than just a meal — it’s a sensory memory you’ll cherish forever. Every dish is meticulously prepared and artfully plated, so every last bite is worth savoring — especially when that last bite is something sweet.

Our desserts are developed and crafted in-house by our expert pastry chefs, combining nostalgic flavors with impeccable technique and a touch of dramatic flair. We’ve paired these after-dinner indulgences with a selection of our favorite wines to further elevate the experience, whisking you away to far-flung locations while always evoking the comforting tastes of home.

World Class Carrot Cake

Wine Pairing: Blandy’s, Malmsey, 10 -year Madeira

The legendary dessert adored by legions of loyal fans. For over three decades, this carrot cake has delighted guests with four decadent layers of delicately spiced sponge and silky cream cheese icing, topped by warm butterscotch sauce and spicy pecans. One bite and even carrot cake skeptics will find themselves converted.

The addition of Madeira somehow takes this cake above and beyond world class. It’s a match made in heaven. The wine’s bright acidity offers an amazing counterpoint to the richness of our signature dessert, and its caramel, fig, and nutty notes round out the experience.

Chocolate Malt Cake

Wine Pairing: Ferreira, 2015, LBV, Ruby Port

This cake is an ode to indulgence. Imagine layer upon layer of ultra-moist chocolate cake, generously frosted with rich malt icing, then adorned with a cascade of warm chocolate sauce and fresh berries. It’s every chocolate lover’s dream.

Chocolate and red wine are a classic pairing, and this elevated take on ruby port bursts with intense aromas and flavors of black currant, raspberry, plum, and cherry. Take a bite, take a sip, and experience a new fresh and decadent sensation again and again.

Key Lime Pie

Wine Pairing: Donnafugata, Sicily

This pie is a sweet love letter to the Sunshine State, capturing the very essence of the Florida Keys. Our version features creamy, tart custard set in a buttery, almond-graham crust, topped with fresh whipped cream. It strikes the perfect balance of bright citrus and sweet indulgence, ending your meal on a remarkably refreshing note.

Like all great pairings, this one is truly greater than the sum of its parts. On its own, this is a pleasantly sweet dessert wine with notes of apricot and dried orange peel. When enjoyed with our Key Lime Pie, however, the wine transforms, becoming tart, vibrant, and immensely drinkable. It’s a beautiful, harmonious interplay that instantly elevates one’s spirit.

Vanilla Crème Brûlée

Wine Pairing: Inniskillin, Icewine, Canada

A classic indulgence that never goes out of style. Crack through the perfectly caramelized sugar crust and get lost in silky custard infused with Madagascar vanilla beans. It’s gluten-free, simple, and timelessly elegant, the kind of dessert that makes any meal feel like a celebration years in the making.

Old favorite, meet new obsession. This icewine is made from Riesling grapes harvested and pressed upon the first hard freeze. Its tight acidity and honeyed fruit and ginger notes make every bite of Crème Brûlée sing, bringing out flavors of fresh caramel and creamy vanilla.

Baked Alaska

Wine Pairing: Lustau, East India, Sherry

Part dessert, part performance, our Baked Alaska layers chocolate cake, Oreo crust, and vanilla-coffee ice cream beneath a crown of toasted meringue. We finish the dessert tableside with a flaming pour of rum, making it a showstopping finale for birthdays, anniversaries, or any special night that deserves fireworks.

When set alight, our Baked Alaska develops an irresistible toasted marshmallow flavor, and it also provides a burst of inspiration for this pairing. This beautiful sherry from southwestern Spain is sweet but not cloying, brimming with nutty, spicy, dried fruit flavors. Together, these two heavenly delicacies are pure ambrosia.

Affogato

Wine Pairing: Graham’s, 10 yr, Tawny, Port

It’s no secret that we love coffee here at Truluck’s, and this dessert celebrates coffee’s decadent side. We pour a fresh, perfectly pulled shot of hot espresso over creamy vanilla ice cream, allowing it to melt into a pool of velvety sweetness. Garnished with shaved chocolate, our Affogato is simple, elegant, and just begging to be paired with port.

This pairing takes the already amazing combination of coffee and ice cream and takes it to new heights. Dried cherry, fresh apricot, toffee, caramel, nuts, and honey — that’s the symphony of flavor this fabulous 10-year tawny port brings to the table.

Coffee lovers, you can also pair your dessert with a perfectly balance Espresso Martini or a freshly brewed French press of our signature ‘Press On’ blend from Katz Coffee. When you do, we’ll donate $1 from every order to the PTSD Foundation of America’s Camp Hope, which provides lifesaving services and support to our veterans.

Make the final act of your meal at Truluck’s the most memorable moment of the evening. We look forward to welcoming you, and remember to always save room for dessert.

Your table is waiting.
